We may not think about the floors we walk on, but the truth is flooring is everything! It directly impacts the way you experience your home or place of business. Flooring can affect the acoustics in any given room in a variety of ways. Good flooring makes it easier to walk, and in some cases can even help you save on heating bills. And waterproof flooring is an absolute necessity for decks, balconies, garages, and surfaces exposed to weather and the elements.

Products for Decks and Concrete Flooring:
At D’Palma Bros., we specialize in Dex-O-Tex waterproofing products for Southern California’s Orange County. We offer protection for a wide range of residential and commercial surfaces. From pedestrian walkways to parking garages, residential decks and balconies, our waterproofing products are specially designed to protect exterior concrete and decking surfaces against weather damage, UV radiation, and general wear and tear from pedestrian traffic and other impacts.
Additionally, our concrete waterproofing products offer excellent protection in industries where surfaces experience heavy shock, impact, high temperatures, or exposure to chemicals.
Water-Resistant, Fire-Rated Decking:
In many states, especially in California, having a Class A fire-rated, non-combustible decking is a must. After all, one major concern about building a deck is the potential for fire, especially if the area of installation will be near an outdoor grill or fire ring, or in a town where the risk of wildfire is high.
Class A Fire Rating Explained:
Building codes and test standards have classified materials or assemblies depending on how they would perform in a fire. Class A fire ratings mean a material or construction assembly would cause a lower flame spread in the event of a fire. It could slow down the spread of fire or even reduce its intensity. Thus, Class A fire-rated materials and assemblies are required in many states.
In California, Chapter 7A of the state’s building code requires builders to create an acceptable defensible space around the home or building, and this includes the deck area. Chapter 7A specifies the mandatory use of fire-retardant materials in residential and commercial decks across the state.
Our Weatherwear is an industry-leading, fire-retardant system specially designed for decks, balconies, observation decks, promenades, and other pedestrian surfaces. It is highly resistant to fire, keeping your construction compliant with the local building codes and industry standards.
A Range of Waterproofing Solutions:
We have a waterproof application suited for raised access flooring. If your project requires waterproof coating and sealers for promenade decks, you can find what you need in our line of products. Our selection also includes waterproof flooring for equipment rooms, vehicle parking, and walkways.
